Recover a hacked Facebook account

1. Signs of a hacked Facebook account

If you have one of the following signs, you should not be subjective because your Facebook account may have been hacked:

• Your personal information such as phone number, gmail,... has been changed.
• Strangers who are not in your friends list appear sending messages to you.
• Show strange locations logged into your Facebook account.

• Receiving messages asking for a confirmation code even though you didn't sign up for anything.
• Your friends and relatives receive messages to borrow money from your account.
• Seeing posts appear on your page that you didn't post.

2. How to retrieve a hacked Facebook account

2.1. How to change Facebook password if you can still log into your account

Step 1 : Log in to your personal Facebook account > Click Menu  > Select Settings & privacy .

Step 2 : Continue to click Settings  >  Select Password and security .

Step 3 : Click  Change password  > Re-enter your current password > Then enter your new password and confirm to complete.

2.2. Reset Facebook password if you can't log in

Step 1 : Click Help me log in at Facebook  's login interface  >  Enter the Email or phone number you need to reset the password > Click Find account .

Step 2 : The system will ask to send the code to your email > Click Continue to send the code > Enter the security code sent to your email by the system > Click Continue  > Reset New Password > Click Continue to complete all reset password.

2.3. Report your account to Facebook as being hacked

Step 1 : Click on this link > Click My account has been compromised  > Enter your email or phone number that registered your Facebook account.

Step 2 : Click on the  security issues  you encounter > Click  Continue  > Click  Start  to protect your account.

Step 3 : Click Continue > Reset your new password .
